We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a successful secondary school in the borough of Salford in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and creating a positive learning environment. Working as part of a committed team, you will play an important role in ensuring students continue to receive high-quality learning and support in the absence of their usual classroom teacher.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

* Supervise classes across a variety of subjects when teachers are unavailable.

* Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.

* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's expectations and values.

* Support students to achieve their best academically and personally.

* Build positive relationships with students and staff.

* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement.

* Promote a respectful, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

* Has experience working with young people in an education, youth work or mentoring setting.

* Is confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.

* Has excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Is calm, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.

* Has a passion for supporting students' learning and development.

* Shares the values and ethos of Catholic education.

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, youth worker or similar role would be advantageous. Graduates considering a career in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
