Drivers licence required: Preferred

Hours per week:

7 hours per week, 2.5 hours on Wednesday mornings, 4.5 hours on Friday mornings.

Hourly pay rate:

£12.71

I am looking for a female Support Worker to assist me with activities in and outside of my home.

I am a 20 year old female with learning disabilities living with my mum.

I need support with going shopping, to cafes, attending groups/clubs, developing independent living skills and confidence with handling money, preparing simple snacks/meals at home. Support with toileting may also be required on occasions.

You should be friendly, reliable, patient and experienced with working with young people with learning disabilities.

I like Barbies, unicorns and going to the cinema. I am friendly, chatty and like people.

Driver with own car would be preferable.

This would be a great opportunity to make a real difference to a young woman's life.

Duties include:

- Companionship

- Bathroom assistance

- Support with going shopping, handling money, attending clubs/groups.

Candidate qualities:

- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

- Reliable with good timekeeping

- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

- Hygienic, tidy and well organised

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Honest and cheerful

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
