Personal Assistant for neurodiverse photographer

Location: Worthing

This role is to support a Woman

Drivers licence required: No

Employment status: employed

Hours per week: 4-8 hours a week. To be discussed.

Hourly pay rate: £14 per hour

Do you have an interest in photography and going for walks? My daughter needs support to leave the house and engage in her passion of photography. I am looking for a kind and compassionate personal assistant with experience of supporting people with high functioning autism. Other aspects of the work will include some shopping for food, supporting to have meals, either at home or out and about, and going to appointments and activities. Must have a heart felt commitment to all things that come under the umbrella of diversity and inclusion as my daughter is neurodiverse and part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Duties include:

Eating and drinking assistance

Other relevant duties as required

Administration

Housekeeping

Shopping

Cooking

Transportation

Companionship

Helping to choose meals and plan when and what to eat is the sort of

eating and drinking assistance required.

Helping to get ready for leaving the house, like checking that the right

clothes for the weather and making sure client has remembered important

items like phone, keys.

Candidate qualities:

Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

Hygienic, tidy and well organised

Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Honest and cheerful

Creative

Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

Open and clear communicator

Patient

Calm

Have experience working with people with high functioning autism

Being able to reassure client and take the right action when client is not

coping well with their environment

Plenty of further information about the clients needs will be included in the

induction period.

Additional requirements

Non-smoker due to medical reasons
