Flexible part time hours, at least 1 evening per week (e.g., 5 – 10pm) and 2 or 3 Sunday afternoons each month

We are looking for a special person to help care for our father who is living with dementia based in Calne. We are seeking someone who brings kindness, patience, and warmth to companionship and daily tasks.

A caring heart and experience with dementia and anxiety essential. Must be very patient and able to de-escalate stress and adapt to changing needs.

Duties include providing companionship, preparing meals, assisting with walking/light exercises, and ensuring a safe, quiet and happy home environment.

The goal is to promote independence and safety with a calm and happy quality of life while providing peace of mind for the main carer who lives in the home.

Duties include:

- Other relevant duties as required

- Companionship

- Personal Care (Assisting with washing, dressing, and toileting with dignity according to his wishes),

- Daily Living Support (Preparing meals, light housekeeping, and preparing and offering medication) and maintaining a safe environment, adhering to a consistent, calming routine.

Candidate qualities:

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
