It’s had one owner from new and has the sought-after 1.9 TDI PD engine producing 105 bhp, paired with the 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

The engine and gearbox are sound and the car drives, but please read the description carefully — this is not a pristine example and is being sold as a cheap, practical car/project for someone who doesn’t mind doing some work.

Condition / faults

The car is below average cosmetically for its age.

There is rust on all four wheel arches, rust along the bottoms of the doors, and a small amount of rust on the tailgate. There have also been some previous touch-ups which aren’t particularly pretty and appear to have been done with white gloss-type paint.

There are various scratches and marks around the bodywork, so please study all the photos carefully.

The car desperately needs a wheel bearing replaced. And there’s a minor suspension rattle

The important positives are that the engine and DSG gearbox are sound, and at only 105,000 miles the 1.9 TDI PD engine has covered relatively low mileage.

I’m being completely upfront about the condition, so please don’t come expecting a spotless example. It’s an old car with cosmetic issues and mechanical work required, but it has a good engine/gearbox combination, low mileage for the engine and only one owner from new.
