Description
Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of our client, a highly respected commercial solutions provider, to recruit an Account Manager for a full-time, permanent role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing sales team where you’ll be responsible for both new business development and managing existing customer accounts. The successful candidate will be a solution-led sales professional with strong B2B experience and excellent relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager role:
* Sell a range of multi-functional photocopiers using a consultative, value-based sales approach
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the South Yorkshire region
* Manage and grow existing customer accounts, providing tailored solutions and outstanding service
* Achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets on a consistent basis
* Conduct client meetings, including site visits and presentations
* Complete and submit accurate sales reports, including weekly and monthly paperwork
* Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends
* Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and clients
* Comply with company policies, procedures and standards
* Support the development of wider sales team capabilities
* Attend training courses as required
Candidate Requirements for the Account Manager role:
* Experience selling a product, ideally in a commercial or business equipment environment
* Ability to follow a structured sales process, uncovering client needs and offering value-added solutions
* Strong closing skills – this role is not suited to candidates who focus solely on price-based selling
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to build rapport and long-term relationships
* Highly self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Consultative, customer-focused approach with a keen eye for detail
* Familiarity with sales reporting, CRM systems, and territory planning
* Must be based in or familiar with the South Yorkshire area and comfortable with regular field travel
* Full UK Driving Licence and Own Vehicle
