HR Generalist (Temp - Potential Temp to Perm)

Salary: 40,000

Full-time Office-based Gosport

We're looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join a busy HR team on an initial temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.

This is a hands-on, generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations, talent management, and day-to-day HR operations. You'll work closely with the HR lead, providing practical support across core HR processes while helping keep everything running smoothly.

Working hours

36.25 hours per weekFlexible start between 7.00am - 10.00am and finish between 3.00pm - 6.00pmIdeally happy to work earlier hours initially (around 7-8am start) to support training and handover45 minutes unpaid lunch per dayKey responsibilities

Strong day-to-day focus on employee relations, including disciplinary and investigation support, accurate note-taking, sickness absence management and liaison with Occupational Health.Supporting end-to-end recruitment activity, including interview coordination, new starter paperwork and onboardingPreparing HR documentation, letters and records in line with policy and employment legislationSupporting managers with day-to-day HR queries and process guidanceWhat we are looking for

Previous experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor roleStrong recruitment and onboarding experienceConfidence supporting employee relations processes, including disciplinaries and investigationsHighly organised with excellent attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple prioritiesApproachable, professional and able to build effective working relationships at all levelsConfident IT user with experience of HR systems and MS OfficeWhat's on offer
