Description

Our hand-picked team of genealogists from around Britain and beyond are waiting to research the lives of your ancestors.
Commission research to reclaim your family’s past or choose a genealogy gift for a loved one.
We don’t just search for your ancestors, we colour in their lives and do what we can to bring the past to life by informing and presenting their stories with records of their day together with related images. If you know who your ancestors were but want to see more about their family events and lives, we will provide certificates, parish records, wills, family crests, surname meaning, old maps and more so that you can connect with your past. We also include historic events, images of the past and the coins and clothing that they would have experienced. We take care to provide heirlooms that you can pass down over generations in digital or hardback book format.
If you want to know about an ancestor or relative’s military career, their service records, battles and memorials, we will do our best to oblige.
In order to get a bespoke response from us please provide a few details of key individuals with dates and locations. That way we can show how we can help before you commit.
When all is agreed, we then have easy terms: just a deposit to start work and the rest payable at completion or by simple instalments.

It was great working with British Ancestors to fill in the gaps in my tree. They were very responsive to my specific questions and helped to build up a picture of some elusive characters and tie up those pesky loose ends.

I uncovered a lot of interesting facts about my family history, who they were, where they came from, the journey over time. Even better for young people like me to dig into their heritage because I feel like we don’t get taught through the education system how proud you should be of being British. This research makes you realise how proud you should be.

British Ancestry have been absolutely fantastic to work with, Amy and her team have been amazing showing great diligence and Amy has been in continuous contact with me through out the process , the result has been really a indepth study of my Ancestry, and I would also like to say how kind and sensitive Amy was when having to inform me of some upsetting moments in the process of carrying out investigations into my Ancestry I would also like to say how pleased I was with the completed hardback editions. I was a little uncertain what to expect after first contacting British Ancstors. I need not have been concerned: Amy Leyton has provedto be quite outstanding.
