Senior Quantity Surveyor Scotland
Location: Based in our Glasgow office with travel required to various project sites, occasionally with overnight stays required.
Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent benefits!

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead commercial management of multiple high–value civil engineering projects simultaneously
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts
• Produce detailed cost and cash flow forecasts
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements
• Monitor project costs and value engineering opportunities
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior management
• Lead procurement activities and supplier engagement
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and commercial team members
Essential Requirements:
• Proven commercial management experience in projects exceeding GBP10M
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
• Significant heavy civil engineering project exposure to renewable energy infrastructure, highways, or marine construction
• Thorough working knowledge of NEC3/4 and FIDIC contract forms
• Ability to carry out detailed re–measurements in accordance with standard methods. E.g. CESSM4, NRM2 etc.
• Proven track record in analysing, preparing and managing delay and disruption submissions, including detailed cost analysis and assessment of time–related costs
• Demonstrable experience in analysing construction programmes, critical path analysis, and delay assessment
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Valid driving licence
• Working out of Glasgow office ideal candidate will have a willingness to travel to sites across Scotland, England and Wales for short periods at a time, where necessary.
Desirable Experience:
• 10 years' experience in civil engineering quantity surveying
• MInstCES, MRICS or MCIArb qualified or equivalent professional qualification
• Understanding of heavy civils construction techniques
• Knowledge of Scottish civil engineering sector
