Description
A fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a well–established manufacturing business in the Southwest for a Production Planning Manager.
This is a position where you ll take real ownership of production planning, lead a team, and play a critical role in driving performance, efficiency, and on–time delivery.
The Role
You ll be responsible for leading the production planning function, ensuring plans are delivered effectively and aligned with customer demand.
Working closely with production and purchasing teams, you ll focus on improving processes, managing capacity, and ensuring operations run smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and managing the master production plan Leading and developing the planning team Managing capacity planning and resource allocation Working with inventory teams to maintain stock levels Using MRP and scheduling systems to drive production Identifying bottlenecks and improving efficiency Monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement Ensuring data accuracy across planning systems About You
Proven experience in production planning within manufacturing Strong understanding of MRP systems and scheduling Experience leading or mentoring a team Commercial awareness and problem–solving ability Confident communicator who can work cross–functionally A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Why Apply?
