Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) Driver to join our night–shift warehouse team. The role involves operating PPT equipment to move goods throughout the warehouse, supporting loading/unloading activities, and carrying out manual handling tasks as required. This is a physical, fast–paced role that supports smooth warehouse operations during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate PPT equipment to transport pallets, stock, and materials across the warehouse.
Load and unload vehicles, trailers, and storage areas as directed.
Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and sorting products.
Support general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, replenishment, and stock rotation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the shift.
Follow all health & safety procedures, including safe equipment operation and manual handling techniques.
Conduct basic pre–use checks on PPT equipment and report any defects or issues.
Work as part of a team to meet nightly targets and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience operating a PPT or similar warehouse equipment (training can be provided if necessary).
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks and work in a physically demanding environment.
Comfortable working night shifts.
Good attention to detail and awareness of health & safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and safety–conscious.
