Description
Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter for a well known manufacturing business. The successful Mechanical Fitter will install and assemble key mechanical components within high–voltage enclosure systems work that demands accuracy, consistency, and a solid grasp of engineering documentation. You will be part of a growing and close knit team which values hard work.
We re looking for someone who can:
Test, verify, and fine–tune mechanical systems so that they meet strict operational and quality standards.Spot issues early, diagnose mechanical faults confidently, and carry out corrective work with minimal disruption to production.Tackle major overhauls on rotating equipment and other critical machinery with a methodical and safety–first approach.Keep maintenance records tight, clear, and compliant something audit teams will thank you for later.Work safely around high–voltage systems without compromise, consistently applying LOTO and all relevant procedures.Participate actively in safety discussions, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Skills and Qualifications:
A completed apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or similar) in Mechanical Engineering/Fitting.Hands–on experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or engineering ideally around high–voltage or electrically biased environments.Strong mechanical assembly skills paired with the ability to troubleshoot and think ahead.Confidence working from detailed engineering drawings with minimal supervision.A team–oriented mindset and the independence to manage your own workload effectively.
