HGV Driver – Recycling & Sustainability

Location: Smethwick

Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking to build a career in the recycling and environmental sustainability sector? We’re seeking a reliable and motivated driver to join our Smethwick team, helping us deliver a safe, efficient, and high-quality service that supports a greener future.

Reporting to our supportive Transport Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe transport of goods while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.

What you’ll be doing

Carrying out deliveries accurately, safely, and on time

*

Completing all required documentation in line with company and legal standards

*

Attending training to stay fully equipped and contributing to continuous improvement

*

Reporting any accidents, incidents, or equipment damage promptly

*

Maintaining excellent service levels, ensuring a first-class experience for customers

*

Ensuring vehicle security and safeguarding goods at all times

*

Promoting Unimetals positively with colleagues, customers, and partners

*

Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and taking corrective action where needed

*

Reporting any non-conformances and supporting resolution

*

Complying with all transport procedures and legislation

Qualifications & Experience

*

HGV Licence – Class 2 or above (essential)

*

Proven experience as an HGV Driver

*

Solid logistical and geographical knowledge

*

Valid Digital Tachograph Card & Driver CPC
