Caretaker/ Handyman- Temp role

Location: Rotherwas Industrial Estate, Hereford

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 3:30 pm and Friday 7:30am - 3pm

Salary: £13.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a tempoary Caretaker to join a busy manufacturing environment based on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford. This role offers a great mix of facilities upkeep and hands‑on support within the production area.

Key Responsibilities -

* Carry out routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal.

* Undertake minor repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and other basic maintenance tasks.

* Monitor buildings, outdoor areas, and equipment, reporting any issues requiring specialist repair.

* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

* Perform manual handling duties as required.

* Keep all units tidy, maintain clear walkways and fire exits, and ensure external areas remain neat and free of debris.

* Assist with testing and assembly tasks within the production area.

* Support welding and fabrication operations, including use of the band saw.

* Passivate finished goods when required.

* Provide support to the stores team with deliveries and collections, particularly during busy periods or staff absence.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous caretaking, facilities, or maintenance experience is preferred.

* Basic understanding of tools and building maintenance.

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

* Good communication skills and a proactive, helpful attitude.

* Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying.
