Location: Flitwick, Bedfordshire

Hours: Mon–Thurs 8.00–16.30, Fri 8.00 – 15.30

Salary: Competitive – negotiable depending on experience

Overtime: may be available at an enhanced rate.

Our Client is a leading bespoke joinery manufacturer and multi–trade fit–out specialist in the Bedford area they are looking for a Bench Joiner to join the team.

We are looking for a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team in Bedford. The ideal candidate will have a previous experience working as a Bench Joiner. Additional, in–house training will be given to competent time served candidates to support continued development and success in the role.

Bench Joiner Duties to include but not limited to

Assembly of joinery and cabinetry related itemsEnsuring items are finished, sanded, prepared and collated for the next department in line. For example, the spray shop or goods out all via the joinery managerOwn hand tools essential including cordless drillsWorking flexibly across departments, including occasional support in the machine shop or other areas and duties as needed. This is not always required but does give variation and new experience into the role

Key Skills and Requirements

Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings and production informationAbility to use wood machines would be a benefit but not necessarily essentialExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem–solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast–paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a team
