Assembly Technician - EV Batteries (6-Month Contract)

Location: Milton Keynes, UK

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Contract: 6-month Temporary (covering leave of absence)

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our client in Milton Keynes, supporting the assembly and testing of electric vehicle (EV) battery systems. This hands-on role involves both mechanical and electrical work in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical and electrical assembly of EV batteries

Interpreting and working from technical drawings and build instructions

Operating hand tools, machinery, and testing equipment (e.g. volt meters)

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Supporting engineering builds, trials, and troubleshooting

Participating in process improvements and team collaboration

Requirements:

Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation

Comfortable using hand tools, machinery, and basic test equipment

Experience in battery assembly/testing is a plus

Strong team player with the ability to work independently

Health & safety awareness and adherence to procedures
