Cubed Talent is recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of Modular Buildings. Our client specialises in the design, build, refurbishment, and installation of portable buildings, including cabins, offices, and washroom facilities, to sites across the UK.

Due to growth, our client is looking to recruit multiple Welders based in York to assist with the creation of metal structures. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company, who encourages development & progression through internal in-house training and via external providers.

You will work effectively as part of a team in the Metal Fabrication department, ensuring high standards of compliance with quality, technical specification, customer service and environmental requirements.

Role Responsibilities

* Welding within the Metal Fabrication Department ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy to achieve a safe working environment and an orderly standard.

* Be thorough in the separation and segregation of waste to meet environmental requirements.

* Reading drawings and Technical Specifications.

* Maintain tools and equipment in order to maximise their use and prolonged life.

* Work effectively as part of a team with all internal customers to ensure timescales for completing work are achieved and quality standards reached.

* Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH.

* Maintain accurate records of production, and other operational data required by Production Team Leader.

* Ensure that all laid Quality systems e.g. ISO 9001 & 14001 are adhered to.

* Support continuous improvement to ensure the area is always looking at the best way to carry out a task.

The Ideal Candidate

* MIG Welding experience within a Metal Fabrication Department

* Read technical drawings and specifications

* Comply with all legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and/or Company Procedures/Policies relating to Health and Safety, inclusive of COSHH

Hours of Work: Multiple shift patterns available - Days/Double days and Nights

Hourly Rate: £15.83 - £21.11 dependant upon shift pattern
