Warehouse & Operations/Logistics Manager

Basildon, Essex

Monday - Friday's (37.5 hours pwk.)

GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 per annum

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will oversee all operations performance across two freight forwarding warehouse facilities. Responsible for ensuring efficient cargo handling, compliant documentation and seamless co-ordination between warehouse, transport and customs functions.

Requiring a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong international freight process knowledge and able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead warehouse & logistics across two facilities ensuring consistent service levels, SOPs and compliance.

Provide hands-on operational support during peak times.

Oversea receiving, breakdown, storage and dispatch or air, sea and road freight cargo.

Ensure correct handling (general cargo, hazardous goods, temperature controlled).

Maintain compliance with aviation security and industry specific regulations (IATA, HMRC, CAA).

Monitor KPIs.

Manage inbound & Outbound transport planning including haulage scheduling, carrier relationships and last-mile delivery.

Optimise freight costs.

Oversea stock accuracy

Lead and develop the warehouse & Logistics team.

Manage staffing levels, shift patterns, training and performance reviews.

Experience:

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management within Freight forwarding.Knowledge of IATA, CAA, HMRC and other regulatory frameworks.Ability to use a WMS/ERP System.MUST HAVE 5 YEARS EMPLOYMENT WITH NO GAPS due to CAA Regulations. Specific dates - required for all employment in last 5 years minimum
