Are you experienced in operating heavy machinery and looking to build a long–term career in port operations? We're recruiting skilled and safety–focused Port Machinery Operators to join our team in Immingham, one of the UK's busiest and fastest–growing port locations.

About the Role

As a Port Machinery Operator, you'll ensure the safe and efficient movement of cargo across the port. No two days are the same–this is a hands–on, dynamic role that keeps the port running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating port machinery such as tugs, forklifts, reach stackers, and Loading shovelsLoading and unloading vessels, trailers, and containersSupporting the movement, storage, and handling of cargoCarrying out pre–use safety checks on equipmentFollowing strict health & safety regulations and port proceduresWorking as part of a high–performing operations team

Skills & Experience

We welcome applicants with solid machinery or plant operation experience. Full training/ upskilling and renewing of tickets is available.

Essential:

Experience operating heavy machinery, plant, or industrial vehiclesFull UK Driving licenceAbility to work in a fast–paced, outdoor environmentStrong safety awarenessGood communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to work shifts, including nights or weekends

Desirable:

Counterbalance FLT licenceTug/Shunter or Yard Tractor experienceReach stacker certificationBanksman/Slinger qualificationPrevious port or logistics experience
