Class 2 driver – Aberdeen

Description

Class 2 Removals Driver is required to transport household goods to one or two locations per day.

This is a highly physical, hands–on role where driving a class 2 vwhicle, while the remainder involves heavy lifting, packing and wrapping of fragile items preparing for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Driving: Safely operate and navigate a Class 2 HGV to and from domestic and commercial job sites, adhering to all traffic laws.Loading & Unloading: Physically lift, carry, and load heavy furniture or bulky goods in and out of the vehicle.Packing & Preparation: Assist with wrapping, packing, and boxing fragile or household items.Furniture Handling: Dismantle and reassemble beds, wardrobes, and other large furniture items on–site.Compliance & Safety: Perform daily walk–around checks, secure loads safely, complete paperwork, and strictly follow driver tachograph rules.Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, communicating arrival times and handling client concerns politely and professionally.Essential Requirements

Licence: Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.Driver CPC: Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).Tachograph: Valid digital tachograph card.Physical Fitness: High level of physical fitness and stamina to endure heavy manual handling over long shifts.Experience: Previous experience in the removals, logistics, or delivery sector is highly advantageousBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.
