Description

We are seeking an experienced Flatbed Driver to join our clients team based in Fareham.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

You may also be responsible for warehouse picking/loading on occasion too.

The role is full time Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 17:00 (42.50 hours per week) The role is paying initially 13.27 per hour.

Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre–trip and post–trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Completing a maximum of 10 drops per day (on average 6–8) Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver and or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving heavy vehicles. Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, must have knowledge to secure loads. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
