We are partnering with a well–established healthcare organisation that delivers community–based clinical services across multiple NHS contracts. They are seeking a Service Manager to oversee operational performance, service delivery, and financial management across a portfolio of outpatient pathways. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward–thinking provider committed to high–quality patient care.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the day–to–day management of a number of community clinical services, ensuring they run efficiently and meet all contractual, financial, and quality standards. You will lead teams, improve operational processes, manage budgets, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to maintain outstanding service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery: Lead and optimise the delivery of community outpatient services, ensuring strong performance and patient experience.

Financial Management: Manage service budgets, oversee the P&L, and work with Finance to maintain cost–effective operations.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with clinical staff, commissioners, and partner organisations.

Leadership: Provide clear direction to service teams, supporting a positive and motivated working environment.

Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, manage patient flow and waitlists, and implement improvements where needed.

Compliance: Ensure full adherence to NHS standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong leadership skills with experience managing operational teams

Solid financial understanding including budget and P&L management

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Analytical approach to problem–solving and performance improvement

Experience working within healthcare operations (community services or outpatient pathways desirable)

Competency using healthcare systems and data tools

Qualifications:

Degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience within the NHS)

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected healthcare provider making a real impact across NHS community services. You will have the autonomy to shape service performance, lead committed teams, and contribute to ongoing service innovation.

If you're ready for a rewarding leadership role within healthcare operations, we'd love to hear from you!
