Job Title: Level 3 Setting Lead

Location: Wigan

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full–time / Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 3 Setting Lead to take on a key leadership role within our early years setting in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated childcare professional to lead a team, inspire good practice, and ensure the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0–5.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the daily running of the nursery/room, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with policies and Ofsted requirements.

Provide guidance, supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

Plan, deliver and oversee high–quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS.

Monitor children's progress, maintaining accurate records and working closely with parents and carers.

Promote a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.

Support with staff training, appraisals and development.

Requirements:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).

Proven experience in an early years setting, ideally with some supervisory/leadership responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
