Description
Position: Workshop Fitter
Location: Portsmouth
Job Type: Permanent, Monday - Friday 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm
Salary: 45,000 (DEO)
The Role
As a Workshop Fitter you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring they meet DVSA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers
Diagnose and fix issues with brakes, suspension, lighting, bodywork and other components
Conduct welding and fabrication work when necessary
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Workshop Fitter / Trailer Technician / Trailer Fitter or similar role
Strong knowledge of trailer components and repair techniques
Must have experience working on commercial vehicles
Welding and fabrication experience (preferred but not required)
Must have own tools
A valid HGV driver's license (is a plus)
Package
40K - 45K (DEO)
33 days holiday (Inclusive of Bank holidays)
