Telecoms Infrastructure Design Engineer

300– 350 per day Outside IR35 Initial 3–Month Contract Highly Extendable

We're looking for an experienced Telecoms Infrastructure Design Engineer to support the planning and design of infrastructure build activities across a large–scale network estate.

This is an initial 3–month contract, but the requirement is expected to extend and offers a strong long–term opportunity for the right person.

What you'll be doing

Producing detailed infrastructure designs, drawings and build–ready design packsSupporting HLD/LLD and site–specific infrastructure designReviewing requirements around fibre routing, power, cooling, space and environmental constraintsSupporting infrastructure and capacity planningEnsuring survey data, drawings and technical documentation are accurate and completeWorking within established engineering standards and design governanceSupporting design reviews and QA/QCWorking closely with Architecture, Deployment, Operations, Property, Power and Supply Chain teams

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have experience within telecoms or large–scale network infrastructure, with a background covering several of the following:

Network and/or fibre infrastructure designHLD/LLD and detailed design documentationInfrastructure and capacity planningCAD/design tools and technical drawingsSite surveys and interpreting site layoutsFibre, power, data centre or wider physical infrastructureInfrastructure build, deployment and commissioningDesign standards, governance and change control

You'll need strong attention to detail, a structured approach to problem–solving and the ability to work effectively across multiple technical and delivery teams.
