JOB- Quality Engineer

LOCATION- Slough

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- GBP42,000-GBP50,000 dependent on experience

My client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Slough area. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and passionate about Lean Manufacturing and will be mainly responsible for improving quality of the company's operational processes and output.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

2 years experience in Manufacturing EnvironmentAPQP/PPAP experience beneficialSelf-motivated individualRight first time approachAbility to work calmly under pressure The Quality Engineer role will involve:

Drive standardisation on processes along with waste elimination and continuous improvementSupport 8D activities on parts connected to internal or supplier quality concernsUnderstanding of APQP and change point control management Develop and maintain quality assurance throughout product development cycle for NPIResponsible for control plans and QA associated to manufacturing processes which are outsourcedCollating material compliance data, report writing where necessaryResolve customer issues in a timely mannerChampion problem solving with use of RCA tools such as 8D, 5WHY, ISHIKAWA, FMEA'sHandle internal & external auditsMonitor supplier performance, define process parameter to ensure process capabilityMonitor output, quality & scrap rates.
