CNC Turning Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing

Join a leading aerospace manufacturer at the forefront of precision engineering. Wild Recruitment is seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists to support high-spec component production for global aerospace clients.

Key Responsibilities - CNC turning machinist

Set up and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc control systems

Read and interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings and process specifications

Machine components to tight tolerances and specified surface finishes

Conduct in-process inspections using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, and other precision tools

Perform routine machine maintenance and tool cleaning

Accurately complete production and quality documentation

Follow all health & safety and quality assurance procedures (AS9100 standards)

Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure parts meet design intent and customer requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience operating CNC lathes in aerospace or precision engineering environments

Ability to program and edit directly at the machine

Strong proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation

Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards (preferred)

Skilled in using precision measuring equipment

Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset

Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team

Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred)
