Composite Laminator
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Job Type: Contract
Rate: £28–£30 per hour
Experienced with carbon fibre, prepreg lay-up and vacuum bagging? Fancy putting those skills to work on some genuinely interesting engineering projects?
We're working with a growing advanced composites manufacturer producing high-performance lightweight structures for aerospace, defence and other technically demanding industries.
They're looking for experienced Composite Laminators who know their way around prepreg materials, understand the importance of getting every ply right and take pride in producing quality work.
What you'll be doing:

Hand laminating carbon fibre and prepreg composite materials.
*
Vacuum bagging, debulking and preparing components for curing.
*
Laminating composite tooling and complex components.
*
Working with different fabric weaves and epoxy resin systems.
*
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, ply books and manufacturing instructions.
*
Following quality procedures and maintaining accurate production records.
What we're looking for:
*
Proven experience in composite laminating and hand lay-up.
*
Practical experience with carbon fibre prepreg materials.
*
Good understanding of vacuum bagging and composite manufacturing processes.
*
Ability to work accurately from technical drawings and ply books.
*
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
Experience within aerospace, motorsport, automotive or another high-performance composites environment would be particularly relevant.
