Live-in Housekeeper & Nanny – 5 Days per Week – North London

We are a friendly, busy family of five looking for a wonderful person to become an important part of our home. We have two daughters (aged 10 and 4), a well-behaved dog, and we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating a warm, organised and happy household.

This is much more than a housekeeping role. We're looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a home running smoothly, loves cooking wholesome food, enjoys spending time with children, and is happy to muck in wherever needed. In return, you'll become part of a respectful family who values kindness, humour and reliability.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for both adults and children. Confidence cooking a variety of cuisines is important (Asian cooking would be a bonus), including vegan meals and following recipes.
Keeping the house beautifully organised and clean, including laundry, ironing, tidying, cleaning and general household management.
Supporting with childcare, including school pick-ups, helping with after-school routines, playing with the children and occasional proxy parenting.
Babysitting approximately twice a week.
Helping with any other reasonable household tasks as they arise.

About you

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in housekeeping within the UK.
Legally entitled to work in the UK.
Warm, energetic, organised and naturally tidy.
Great with children and comfortable around dogs.
A confident cook who enjoys preparing nutritious meals from scratch.
An excellent communicator with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
A non-smoker.

An enhanced DBS (CRB) check and Paediatric First Aid certificate will be required before starting. If needed, we can arrange these for the successful applicant.

The home

This is a live-in position in our welcoming family home in Muswell Hill (N10), close to Highgate Underground Station, lovely parks, cafés and local shops, with excellent transport links into central London.

You'll have your own bright, private bedroom with lovely views, as well as your own bathroom, giving you your own comfortable space to relax.

Hours & Salary

Full-time live-in position
5 days per week
Salary: up to £800 per week gross, depending on experience
Start: Immediately
