Who we are

Connect2Halton is part of Halton & Kent Commercial Services Ltd, a specialist managed service provider within Commercial Services Group (CSG) — the UK’s largest local authority-owned trading company. We work in partnership with Halton Borough Council to deliver high-quality recruitment solutions, ensuring the right people are in the right roles to support essential public services. As a wholly owned subsidiary of local government, our profits go directly back into frontline services.

Why this role matters

As a Resourcing & Customer Service Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our talent pipeline. You’ll help grow and maintain a high-quality candidate pool, support our Talent Partners, and ensure hiring managers have access to the people they need, when they need them. Every placement you help make directly impacts local services, from social care to public health, making a real difference in the community.

Build and maintain a strong candidate base, with a focus on hard-to-fill and niche roles

Match suitable candidates to roles, screening them over the phone and face-to-face

Support onboarding and vetting processes, including application forms, references, safeguarding checks, and contracts

Work closely with our Compliance team to ensure all candidates are fully cleared to work

Attend open days and job fairs to engage with potential candidates and build talent pipelines

Book and conduct candidate registrations both on-site and off-site

Provide excellent administrative and customer service support to Talent Partners

Manage candidate flow between our external supply chain and hiring managers

Maintain accurate records of vacancies, candidate submissions, and placements in our systems

Work collaboratively with Talent Partners and management to understand hiring needs and assist in workforce planning

What we’re looking for

GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

Experience in administration, ideally within recruitment or a similar environment

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel

Confident using social media for sourcing and engagement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Attention to detail, especially in compliance and record-keeping

A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering results

A commitment to equality, diversity, and excellent customer service

What What you’ll get in return

25 days annual leave, increasing with service, plus your birthday off

Pension scheme with generous employer contribution

Health cash plan and access to a wellbeing programme

Retail and gym discounts

Volunteer days to give back to the community

Tailored learning and development opportunities with genuine career progression

A supportive, collaborative team environment where your work has real impact
