I would like to formally warn fellow drivers and independent contractors about my negative experience with Great Care Removals LTD. I was contracted to carry out a job with the clear agreement that payment would be made upon completion. However, once the job was completed, the company failed to pay me as agreed, and all attempts to contact them via messages and phone calls were ignored. On the rare occasion I managed to reach the person in charge and requested the payment I was owed, I was instead asked for my home address so he could “speak to me in person.” I interpreted this as an attempt at intimidation. I am a 52-year-old professional who took on this job in good faith. Despite fulfilling my part of the agreement, I have been met with repeated excuses and a complete refusal to pay. I have documented evidence of our communication, including the agreed terms and their refusal to pay. In addition, I was subjected to personal insults and degrading comments about my appearance, my vehicle (a van), and my worth as a person. This verbal abuse occurred simply because I persisted in requesting payment for the work I had already done. I am sharing this information in hopes of protecting others from being exploited in the same way
