Yard Operative - Willesden

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year

Hours: Mon-Fri 7.30am - 5.30pm | Alternate Saturdays 6.30am - 3.30pm

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Yard Operative to join this dedicated team in Willesden. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, physically active environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You'll support both yard and store operations, ensuring stock is well managed and customers receive the best experience possible. A counterbalance forklift licence is essential for this role as you will be moving building products into the warehouse and loading/unloading lorries.

Key Responsibilities:

* Replenish and organise stock in the yard and store areas - the role is of a physical nature

* Operating a counterbalance forklift to move products

* Assist customers with loading and product advice

* Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment in both the yard and store

* Perform regular checks on equipment and report any issues

* Follow all health and safety procedures

* Work closely with team members xjnqpsq to ensure smooth daily operations

* Handle manual tasks and general maintenance as required

Requirements:

* A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential.

* A team player who can also take initiative and work independently

* Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* A good understanding of health and safety regulations

* Previous experience in builders merchant is preferred
