We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a £700k small civils project involving the construction of a new car park and subsequent highway works.

The Role:

Managing the day-to-day running of the site

Overseeing the subcontractor and two full-time foremen

Managing new drainage and attenuation tank works

Overseeing emergency service access and site logistics

Moving onto highway works following completion of the car park

Reviewing GPE surveys and project information

Managing permits and site paperwork

Dealing directly with the client on a daily basis

Managing access and stakeholder engagement

Ensuring works are completed safely and to programme

About You:

Previous experience working as a Site Manager on civils projects

Strong small civils and groundworks experience

SMSTS essential

NRSWA likely to be essential

Experience working in a live operational environment would be beneficial

Previous experience within a large construction group would be advantageous

Confident dealing with clients and stakeholders

Calm under pressure with a professional approach

Strong communication and organisational skills

Able to work independently and take ownership of the site

For the first few weeks, there will be additional support on site before you take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the project.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking for a 16-week civils contract with responsibility for both site operations and client management.
