Are you looking to build a career in construction estimating with an established and growing business?

We re working with a successful commercial fit–out and refurbishment contractor who are looking to appoint a Trainee Estimator to join their team in Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to develop their commercial and estimating skills within the construction industry. You ll work closely with experienced Estimators and the wider commercial team, receiving hands–on training and exposure to a variety of projects.

The Role As a Trainee Estimator, you ll support the team with:

Assisting with the preparation of tenders, estimates and quotationsReviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentationCarrying out quantity take–offs and measurementsObtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotationsAssisting with labour, material and subcontractor costingsMaintaining accurate estimating information and recordsLiaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teamsSupporting the wider commercial team throughout the tender processDeveloping your understanding of construction methods, materials and project costs About You We re interested in speaking with candidates who are ambitious, commercially minded and keen to develop a career in estimating.

You could be:

A recent graduate in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related subjectA college leaver with a relevant construction qualificationCurrently working in a construction–related role and looking to move into estimatingAn experienced tradesperson looking to transition into a commercial/estimating position You ll need strong numerical skills, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in the construction industry.
