Leasehold Officer

Description

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Leasehold Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in West Sussex.

This is a temporary contract role, paying 30 per hour, offering the chance to join a busy leasehold team at a pivotal time.

What you will be doing:

Providing information and advice on the management of buildings, leases and the payment of service charges, working closely with colleagues across the team Handling service charge matters, including calculations, billing and resident queries Managing Section 20 consultations for qualifying works and long term agreements Facilitating Right to Buy applications and supporting leaseholders through the process Delivering a full financial and administrative service covering leasehold flats, shared ownership and Right to Buy cases What you will need:

Experience in leasehold management or housing services, ideally gained within a local authority or housing association Working knowledge of service charge legislation, Section 20 consultation requirements and Right to Buy processes Strong numeracy and administrative skills, with confidence managing service charge accounts Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain leasehold matters to residents in plain terms An organised, proactive approach to managing a varied caseload If this job is not quite right for you but you are looking for something new, please contact us for a confidential discussion.
