Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with SEND?

Compass SEN Support is growing, and we are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic practitioners to join our team.

We support children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, communication needs, learning difficulties, sensory needs and social or emotional needs.

This is more than simply a support role. You will have the opportunity to build positive relationships, help children develop confidence and independence, support learning and work towards meaningful individual goals.

ROLES AND PAY

Assistant SEN Practitioner

£14.50 per hour

£15.50 per hour after successful completion of probation

SEN Practitioner

£19.00 per hour

£20.50 per hour after successful completion of probation

Senior SEN Practitioner

£25.00 per hour

£27.50 per hour after successful completion of probation

Your role level will be based on your experience, qualifications and supporting evidence.

WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING

Your sessions may include:

• Supporting children at home or in the community

• Autism and SEND support

• Helping with communication and social interaction

• Sensory and play-based activities

• Building confidence and independence

• Literacy, maths and functional learning activities

• Supporting EHCP-linked goals

• Helping children access community activities

• Recording progress and session notes

• Working closely with parents and families

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Able to work independently

• Passionate about SEND

• Willing to follow safeguarding and support plans

• Comfortable completing clear session records

Relevant qualifications are welcomed, but practical SEND experience is also highly valued.
