Female only due to personal and intimate care needs. this is exemption from the Equalities Act 2010 it is lawful to restrict the sex of a service provider or employee for roles involving intimate personal care if this is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. This is often known as a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR). Private Households: The exemption applies robustly to private individuals hiring carers for personal care in their own homes.

I have lots of hobbies including, talking, reading, socializing, learning new skills. I am learning to play the keyboard and Braille music, I also enjoy crochet, making stools, trays, resin and other crafts but mostly talking.

Hours of work:

Flexibility is essential; However, I require the following basic hours:

Tuesday 8pm - 9am following morning. put to bed and a sleeping overnight. paid at £14.20 per hour put to bed £and £13.70 per hour sleeping night £164.48 per night shift - total £235.48

Thursday 8pm - 9am following morning. put to bed and a sleeping overnight. paid at £14.20 per hour put to bed and £13.70 per hour sleeping night £164.48 per night shift - total £235.48

Bank staff also needed

Pay and holiday:

Personal Care Assistants will be paid at a rate of £14.20 per hour weekday and weekend rate.

Personal Care Assistants will be paid at a rate of £152.52 per sleeping night shift

PCA’s will be entitled to 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year, pro rata.

Tasks:

Typical tasks might include:

Personal care: training will be provided

Intimate care needs
Washing & Dressing
Catheter Care
Stoma Care
Hoisting in & out of bed
Showering
PEG feeding & medication
Managing Diabetes

Domestic duties:

housework, including laundry.

Leisure activities:

Accompanying me on walks
Accompanying me to the library
Assisting me to go shopping.
Assistance to meet up with friends.
Assistance to attend appointments.
Enabling me to care for my new guide dog when I start training

Personal Specification:

Essential criteria:

Must be comfortable having dogs around
Reliable and trustworthy
Must have a flexible approach to the work.
Hold a clean current driving license and having driven recently.

Desirable criteria:

Experience of caring for disabled people
Experience of Manual handling

Experience is not essential as all training will be provided.
