Description

Role: Part-time Afternoon Manny

Location: Ladbroke Grove (close to Wetherby School)

Care for: Boy, aged 5

Schedule: Term time: 3:30pm–7:30pm | Half term: 8:30am – 6:30pm

Salary: £20 net per hour

Start: ASAP (four weeks’ notice considered)

A warm, thoughtful family based in Ladbroke Grove are seeking an experienced Afternoon Manny to support their five-year-old son on a part-time basis.

You will support a bright, energetic young boy who is growing in confidence and independence. He responds well to consistency, clear boundaries, and a calm, kind approach. Afternoons are active and structured, with established activities including kickboxing after school and weekly sessions at Little Gym.

The role centres around school pick-ups, accompanying him to activities, keeping him engaged and active, and supporting a settled early evening routine. During half term, the role becomes full-time, with hours of approximately 8:30am – 6:30pm. Some weekend support will also be required, agreed in advance.

This is a fully child-focused role, with no laundry or housekeeping duties and no travel required. The family are keen to find a Manny who brings a confident, positive male presence to the role and who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.

A calm, emotionally intelligent Manny who is comfortable offering structure, guidance, and encouragement will suit this position well.

The household also includes a much-loved, hypoallergenic service dog, so a dog-friendly Manny is important.

The family have had the same Nanny for the past four years and place a high value on trust, continuity, and finding the right long-term fit. A seven-day trial will form part of the process, including two weekend days.

Interviewing now for an ASAP start.
