Description

An established and reputable accountancy practice is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Tax Manager to join their team in Wokingham. Supporting the Tax Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a varied portfolio of clients.

This is a hands-on, office-based role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and working as part of a collaborative team.

The salary for this role is between GBP60,000 and GBP70,000 dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Tax Manager role are:

Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as their primary point of contactOversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current UK legislationPrepare and/or review a range of compliance filings, including:Capital Gains Tax returnsAnnual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED) returnsEmployment Related Securities (ERS) returnsP11D formsSupport the Tax Director on advisory projects, including tax planning and structuringRespond to client queries in a timely and professional mannerReview work prepared by junior staff, providing guidance and mentoringLiaise with HMRC on behalf of clientsEnsure deadlines are met and workflows are managed effectivelySkills required for the Senior Tax Manager role:

Strong experience in a tax role within an accountancy practiceIn-depth knowledge of UK tax legislationACA/ACCA/CTA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experienceProven ability to manage a client portfolio independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsIf you are an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in your career, we would be keen to hear from you.
