Description

Responsible for providing finance business partnering for key functional stakeholders including monthly P&L support in line with month end timetable, alongside preparation of month end commentary, providing insights and suggestions for remedial activities;

Focus of the role within specific divisions to provide detailed financial insights into projects, tying this to any external funding, strengthening relationship between internal divisions. Understanding and communicating effectively budget implications of decisions;

Aiding the teams the role is responsible for with managing budgets

Support business stakeholders to ensure the correct finance processes are adopted including Capital Request and business cases

Investigate, question and develop KPI reporting;

Support stakeholders by providing variance analysis and overall financial modelling to drive business decisions;

Challenge unusual P&L movements, forecasts and fluctuations to ensure forecast and actual financial performance is robust;

Act as the finance ambassador to build and maintain partnerships to develop strong networks across the area of responsibility;

Able to use sound business acumen to assess new ideas, both from an operational and financial perspective and then be able to articulate the impacts with clear and meaningful recommendations;

Provide support and detail for key discussion points for Senior Finance Business Partner when meeting with relevant Directors, with a willingness to step up in meetings if required.Profile

Experience working in a similar role May be studying towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong Excel skills Job Offer
