Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - 6-Month Contract

Location: Hammersmith, West London (Hybrid - 3 days office)

Rate: 24-27 per hour (Inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Inventum Group is partnering with a growing business in the energy sector to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for an initial six-month contract.

Working within a busy finance team, you will support the smooth running of Accounts Payable operations, including supplier payments, invoice processing, reconciliations and cashflow reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on AP professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

Process and code supplier invoices accurately using Sage.

Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and remittance advice.

Manage supplier queries, payment chasers and outstanding invoices.

Complete aged creditor reviews and investigate discrepancies.

Support bank reconciliations and daily cashflow forecasting.

Work closely with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.

Maintain accurate AP records and support improvements to financial controls and processes.

About You

Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or transactional finance role.

Strong knowledge of invoice processing, supplier payments and reconciliations.

Experience with Sage preferred, although other accounting systems will be considered.

Good Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.

Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Able to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Available immediately or at short notice.
