Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Financial Accountant for our Public Sector client based in Birmingham.

Job Purpose: Financial Accountant

Responsible for preparing the financial statements and act as a key liaison with external auditorsProvide technical accounting adviceManage the day-today operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsAnalyse current financial processes to identify opportunities for improvementMain responsibilities: Financial Accountant

Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reportingReview key accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals and prepaymentsSupport the year-end audit process and coordinate responses to audit recommendationsAct as the Finance Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Fusion ERPIdentify and implement opportunities to improve reporting, controls, workflows and automation through better utilisation of Oracle functionalitySupport system enhancements, testing and transformation activitiesOwn and continually improve end-to-end financial accounting processesLead the identification and resolution of process inefficiencies, control weaknesses and recurring issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, reduce risk and improve operational efficiency. Essential Criteria - Financial Accountant:
