Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Part Time Bookkeeper in Amersham.
A relatively small company with 10 permanent employees, requires a Bookkeeper to work one day per week, preferably on a set day but this is flexible.
The role will ideally suit someone that is already working a few days elsewhere and looking for an extra day to fill the week.
ROLE:
Using Sage 50:
* Enter/update project numbers from ‘ORDERS’ document on to Sage incl order value.
* Enter supplier invoices (roughly 600 invoices per annum), either matching through ‘PURCHASE ORDERS’ or direct entry via ‘SUPPLIERS’ allocating to project numbers wherever possible and entering narrative to explain what the cost is.
* Set up payments in Sage, creating a file for each payment run which can be imported to bank.
* Update Sage bank accounts & reconcile to statements.
* Chase overdue client invoices.
* Management accounts and year end working file.
* Pay expense claims, then process and allocate to projects, once approved.
Payroll/Employee matters:
* Create annual timesheet spreadsheets for employees to complete.
* Obtain timesheets from staff (usually 3rd week of month), collate info and upload. Payroll processed by Accountant.
* In May, annually, collate P11d information and send to Accountant. P11d deadline is 6th July each year.
Other:
* Preparing VAT Returns.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bookkeeping experience.
* Experienced with using SAGE.
* Excellent organizational skills.
