Job Title: Junior Finance Assistant

Location: Birmingham, Hybrid - 3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (35 hours/week including 1-hour lunch)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Start: ASAP

We're working with a longstanding client to recruit a Junior Finance Assistant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting out in their finance career. Whether you're fresh out of college, a recent graduate, or making a career switch into finance.

About the Role

You'll play a key part in supporting the finance function, helping manage day-to-day transactions across multiple entities, bank accounts, and currencies. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and build a strong foundational skill set in finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Raising and issuing sales invoices across various business entities.

Processing bank transactions - covering 30+ accounts across multiple currencies and entities.

Managing bank charges and supporting intercompany transfers between accounts.

Administering and reconciling company credit cards - including matching receipts, splitting costs, and posting transactions.

Supporting month-end journal entries.

Assisting with ad hoc spreadsheet-based reporting.

What We're Looking For

Training will be provided.

A keen interest in finance and accounting.

Ideally studying towards or planning to start an AAT qualification.

Confident working independently and managing your own tasks.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
