Financial Accountant 3-Month Contract GBP55,000 - GBP60,000 (pro-rata) Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home Strong potential to extend to 6 months and possibly go permanent We're supporting a well-established business that requires an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team on an initial 3-month contract, with a clear opportunity to extend and potential to convert to a permanent role for the right person. This is a hands-on, technical role and would suit a qualified accountant with a practice background and previous manufacturing experience, who can hit the ground running. Key Responsibilities Preparation and review of monthly management accounts Full balance sheet ownership, reconciliations and review Supporting statutory reporting and year-end processes Liaising with auditors and responding to audit queries Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Supporting process improvements and documentation Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting VAT Working closely with operational teams in a manufacturing environment About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Practice-trained (ideal), with strong technical accounting exposure Previous manufacturing experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail Able to work autonomously and adapt quickly The Offer GBP55,000 - GBP60,000 salary Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home Initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential Opportunity to move into a permanent role If you're an immediately available (or short-notice) Financial Accountant with practice training and manufacturing exposure, this is a strong interim opportunity with genuine longer-term prospects.
