Description

Following group promotion, a global manufacturer of electronic components to the medical, consumer and high technology sectors has a new vacancy for a Finance Manager to join the UK plant near Leicester. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and management gained within a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, logistics, distribution, etc).

The Role

Oversee financial operations, budgeting, and forecasting for the company.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Supervise and mentor the finance team.

Conduct financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Monitor cost controls measures to enhance profitability.

Prepare and present monthly and year end accounts.

Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to drive business performance.

Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to optimize financial processes and efficiency.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis as needed.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

Lead continuous improvements of financial systems and processes.

The Person

Qualified to ACA/ACCA/CIMA or extensive equivalent experience in financial management.

Proven experience in finance management gained in a fast-paced environment (manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or similar)

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.

Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
