We're seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join our team, where you'll play a key role in financial reporting and analysis across corporate functions. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical accounting skills and gain exposure to a wide range of finance operations.

Your Role

As Assistant Accountant, you'll support the Finance Business Partners in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

Processing monthly central recharges across business units

Reconciling recharges quarterly and communicating variances

Supporting month-end close and reporting across P&L and balance sheet

Posting journals and assisting with financial commentary

Completing balance sheet reconciliations with full audit trail

Supporting internal and external stakeholders with financial queries

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Minimum 12 months' experience in a general ledger finance role

Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Experience engaging with stakeholders collaboratively

A proactive, "can-do" attitude and team spirit

Desirable:

AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/CIMA/ACCA

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central)

Advanced Excel skills

Familiarity with P&L reporting, accruals, and variance analysis
