Description
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at our Ryde facility.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of our finance function, you will be responsible for:
* Managing the accounts payable process: recording supplier invoices, performing verification checks, and preparing payment proposals.
* Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring daily bank activity.
* Supporting external reporting requirements, including VAT returns, ONS submissions, and statutory audits.
* Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring accurate asset tracking.
* Assisting with general administrative tasks across the business.
You’ll also play a key role in driving the automation of our purchase-to-pay process, helping to streamline workflows from requisition through to payment.
The successful candidate will be
* Proactive and confident with a keen eye for detail and desire for accuracy,
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks,
* A collaborative team player who’s also comfortable working independently.
Professional Development
This role is ideal for someone currently pursuing or planning to pursue a professional accountancy qualification (AAT or CIMA). We support ongoing training and development, with an expectation of one day per week dedicated to study
