Midas Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this leading retail company that wishes to hire an Assistant Accountant to join the headquarters team in Leamington Spa.

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

* Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and interacting with suppliers

* Processing supplier invoices

* Ensuring payments are in line with company policy

* Assisting in the preparation of VAT Returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end procedures

* Processing staff expenses

* Assist the Sales Ledger function

Assistant Accountant Skills and Experience:

* Willing/able to work 'in office' 37.5 hours week, typically 8.30am to 5pm

* Strong Excel skills

* Organised approach

* Clear communicator, credible with suppliers and colleagues

* Broad accounting experience, including purchase ledger

* Team player
