SALARY: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 plus excellent benefits

We are delighted to be recruiting for an additional Accountant to join our growing finance team based at our Clover Nook site in Somercotes, Alfreton.

Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations, working closely with stakeholders across Planning, Production, Recycling, and Logistics, delivering accurate financial reporting, robust performance analysis, and actionable recommendations to support operational and commercial success.

WHAT OUR ACCOUNTANTS DO:

Prepare monthly management accounts, analyse financial performance, and support month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsInvestigate and explain variances across costs, budgets, and forecasts, providing clear insight into business performanceProduce KPI dashboards, performance reports, and financial commentary to support leadership decision-makingPartner with operational teams to translate business activities into meaningful financial insights and recommendationsSupport budgeting, forecasting, capital investment appraisals, and continuous improvement initiativesIdentify opportunities to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve financial and operational performanceProvide ad hoc analysis and financial support for key business projects

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR ACCOUNTANTS:

CIMA or ACCA qualified, with strong academic credentialsPrevious experience within a manufacturing or production environmentExperience with ERP systems, ideally IFS (production and finance modules)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skillsExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyConfident communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholdersProactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently using your own initiativeStrong team player with the ability to build effective working relationshipsAble to prioritise workload and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
